Tenodera Sinensis – Cleaning Up

Tenodera Sinensis - Cleaning Up

To be honest, I chickened out of using the first title, "Don’t Believe the Internet – The Cat Ate the Hummingbird!!!" I chickened out because I love all creatures (well the jury may be out on the Giant Water Bug) and I’m not a heartless bastard, my occasionally warped sense of humor came up with that title. I hope you forgive my moment of indiscretion. 🙂

At the end of summer I mowed the field I call my back yard and came across dozens of these guys in the grass and weeds. Sorry but each time I stopped and relocated them.

Chinese Mantis (Tenodera Sinensis)

Micro-Nikkor, 55mm f/2.8 Lens, natural late day sunlight from the field
